Welcome to one of Ménerbes' most beautiful properties

Atop the village and located next to the XIIth century church, a UNESCO Heritage Site, the House with a view was originally a small house in ruins. Partly rebuilt in the 1950s, the owners made a recent decision to enlarge the house, incorporating other ruined elements thus far untouched.

Under the careful scrutiny of the Historical Architect of Avignon, responsible for restoration projects in listed villages such as this one, and with the input of a dedicated architect familiar with projects in the region, the result is 250 m˛ of luminous and spacious living. Five comfortable bedrooms, of which three are en-suite and all with multiple viewpoints over the valley, church and pool. They have been decorated with taste by the family, whose four generations have been frequenting this much-loved village for over 50 years.

The addition of books, objets d'art and fine contemporary paintings, do not detract from the warmth of a family home, while conforming to the harmony of a Provencal décor in keeping with the best regional practice.

Quiet, with vistas extending to the far horizon, the house is 10 minutes on foot from the village shops. The region boasts many activities, both cultural and countryside-related, from walks in the Luberon (a protected Parc régional), to the many farmers' markets and antique fair days in adjoining villages. A wonderful holiday is in prospect.

The house, on grounds of 400 m˛, has several terraces, both in the sun and shade. House 250 m˛: sleeps 11 people - 5 bedrooms - 5 bathrooms - Swimming pool
